How to Loop a YouTube Video on Repeat
Loop a whole video, loop just one section, or slow it down while it repeats — here is every way to do it, from the built-in option to a free dedicated looper.
Option 1: YouTube's built-in loop
On youtube.com, right-click the video player and choose Loop. The whole video repeats until you turn it off. On mobile, open the video's ⋮ menu and enable Loop video.
Limits: it always loops the entire video, there is no way to repeat one section, the loop setting is forgotten between visits, and there is no counter of how many times it played.
Option 2: A dedicated looper with section loops and speed control
Repeat Videos is a free web app built only for this. Videos loop automatically, and you get the controls YouTube leaves out:
- Copy the YouTube video URL and paste it into the input on repeat-videos.com — the video starts and loops on its own.
- To repeat one section, drag the A and B handles on the timeline under the player. Playback jumps back to A every time it reaches B.
- To practice slowly, pick a playback speed from 0.5× to 2×. Speed and loop points are saved per video.
- Use Share to copy a link that opens the same video with your exact loop section and speed for anyone.
Every video you play lands in your history with a play counter, so your looped videos and their settings are one click away next time. No account needed; signing in just syncs the library across devices.
It is also a calmer place to watch: there is no recommended-videos sidebar, no comments, and no autoplay hopping to an unrelated video when a playlist or a long video ends — the video you chose simply keeps repeating.

Option 3: URL tricks and playlists
Two workarounds people use on YouTube itself:
- Single-video playlist — add the video to a playlist, play the playlist, enable playlist loop. Repeats the whole video only.
- Address-bar swap — on any YouTube video, replace
youtube.comwithrepeat-videos.comin the address bar. The same video opens in the looper directly.
