Shadowing with a loop, step by step
- Pick any native-speed video — an interview, a vlog, a news clip — and paste its URL into repeat-videos.com.
- Drag the A and B handles around one sentence or phrase (2–6 seconds works best).
- Set the speed to 0.75× if the passage is fast. Pitch stays natural — it just gives your ears more time.
- Listen twice, then speak along with the loop. Imitate the rhythm and intonation, not just the words.
- Move the speed back to 1× and keep shadowing until you stay with the speaker. Then slide the window to the next sentence.

What to loop at each level
Beginner
Slow, clearly spoken learner content. Loop full sentences at 1× (the speech is already slow) and focus on copying intonation.
Intermediate
Native vlogs and interviews. Loop 3–5 second chunks at 0.75×, then repeat the same chunk at 1× before moving on.
Advanced
Fast conversational or regional-accent material. Loop the passages you didn't catch, at 1× — the goal is parsing at full speed, with 0.75× only to untangle the hardest seconds.
